“A life free of violence is our right. At least one out of every three women round the world has been beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in her lifetime - with the abuser usually someone known to her.
This campaign will end on the International Women’s Day on the 8th of March.”
“Une vie sans violence, c’est notre droit. Dans le monde entier, une femme sur trois au moins a été battue, contrainte à des rapports sexuels ou a subi une autre forme de maltraitance pendant son existence, et elle connaît bien souvent le responsable de ces abus.
Votre signature contribuera à mettre fin à la violence contre les femmes.
Cette campagne se terminera le 8 mars Journée Internationale de la Femme.”
Thank you very much.

The 21st world Scout Jamboree, hosted by United Kingdom, was the biggest World Scout Jamboree ever. Nearly every country in the world gathered together in the UK to share the spirit of Scouting from 27th July to 8th August 2007 at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Essex.
ISGF was represented by a team of 15 members and experienced the Jamboree as international service team (IST) members.

The Kingston (Ontario, Canada) Scout Museum will be officially opened on Sunday, February 17th with a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and a Dedication at 2 PM.
The museum, small by all standards, is a creation supported and partially financed by the 35th Canadian B-P Guild (Limestone). The transformation from an unused back room previously used as a Scout Supply Shop, has taken almost six months.
The committee of twelve and occaisional others helped clean the space; remove the surplus items; painted the room; decorated it and created numerous displays - one being a campfire setting; another has a number of artworks by and of our Founder Lord Baden-Powell.
There are other displays of::
- a number of World and Canadian Jamborees;
- Beaver, Cub and Scout uniforms;
- pins;
- neckerchief slides (woggles);
- a display of the World Brotherhood Camporee that has been held locally for more than thirty years (one year on American soil the next on Canadian soil)’;
- there is a collection of flags and finally a display of the B-P Guild of Canada and ISGF including the beginnings of the Spirit Flame route.
Our website: www.kingstonscoutmuseum.ca is in its infancy stage and will develop as we have time to download photos and other information.
This posting is to keep the rest of the ISGF members apprised of this Centennial Project by the 35th Canadian B-P Guild.

BP Guild’s (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) services at the 14th Goodwill Camporee (see photos) has been very much appreciated by all volunteers and participants. We started by serving drinks to volunteers and due the shortage of water in the camp we were supplying drinking water to all participants. They were even willing to pay for the water. All this was made possible by Sdr. Calvin got his friend Mr.Ong of Ong Pure Water Store to donate 25 gallon bottles for to use with two dispensers. We are the only free water point in the Camporee*.
We also purchased 20 tents which were sponsored by Dato Richard Wong to be used by the participants. We also like to thanks our members who donated cash that helped us to support 9 scouts to assist us in the services. They helped out in making coffee and tea that was provided free to visitors coming to our booth.
We also made many contacts with Scout Leaders all around Malaysia. Many of them have not heard of BP Scout Guild or the Scout Fellowship. We hope that they would be able to promote Guilds in their areas.
Tajinder Sohanpal
*Note: Camporee is a mini Jamboree that is held annually in turns by anyone of the 4 counteries: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand.
